From Bari, you will follow a carefully designed itinerary, punctuated by wonders such as the cliffs of Polignano a Mare, the picturesque port of Monopoli, and the iconic trulli of Alberobello. You will then cross the Itria Valley to the beautiful Ostuni, before continuing south to Lecce, Otranto, Gallipoli, and finally Matera, a troglodytic city listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Programme jour par jour

Day 1 : Arrival in Bari, welcome to Puglia !

At your arrival, pick up your rental car at the airport. 
Check in your accommodation in Bari then explore freely the city at your leisure. 
 
Bari, the largest city in Puglia, blends tradition and modernity. Stroll through its narrow streets, taste the street food, and enjoy the seafront at sunset... Bari's charm can be found around every corner!

Day 2 : Polignano a Mare, Monopoli and Alberobello trulli

Head to Polignano a Mare. 
 
The day then begins with a boat trip in Polignano to explore its sea caves carved into the cliffs. You then continue to Monopoli to explore its pretty historic center and charming port. The afternoon ends in Alberobello, famous for its trulli, small stone houses with pointed roofs that are listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Day 3 : Itria Valley, Ostuni and Lecce

The day begins by heading to the Itria Valley. 
 
You stroll around the beautiful village of Ostuni, nicknamed  "the white village" because of the color of its facades. 
In the afternoon, you can visit Lecce, best known for its Baroque buildings, constructed between the 16th and 18th centuries. They give Lecce its elegant aesthetic.

Day 4 : Otranto and Lecce

Head to the southern coast of Puglia for a beautiful seaside hike near Otranto, on a trail offering spectacular views of the Adriatic Sea. After this nature break, return to Lecce to explore its historic center, a true Baroque jewel with its sculpted churches, stylish streets, and bustling squares.

Day 5 : Gallipoli and Matera

The day begins with a coastal walk in the Punta Pizzo nature reserve, south of Gallipoli, among wild beaches, pine forests, and views of the Ionian Sea. You then take the road to Matera, at the gateway to Basilicata. Settle in and take your first glimpse of this unique city, famous for its cave dwellings.

Day 6 : Matera and its surroundings

This day is dedicated to discovering the spectacular landscapes around Matera. Depending on your preference, you can choose a gentle hike to the Murgia Timone viewpoint, crossing a suspension bridge along the way, or opt for a longer route through the Sassi, with stunning views over the Gravina Valley. In the afternoon, explore the troglodytic historic center of Matera, a UNESCO World Heritage site, with its rock-carved alleys, ancient cave churches, and traditional dwellings.

Day 7 : Return to Bari
