Our environmental commitments
Wanderly Trips is deeply committed to protecting the environment and promoting sustainable tourism.
We firmly believe that every action matters, and that by adopting nature-friendly practices we can help preserve the planet for future generations.
Here are the key environmental commitments of our travel agency, with a particular focus on reducing the CO₂ emissions generated by our activities.
The main sources of our CO₂ emissions come from food, accommodations, and transfers/luggage transport.
This is how we act to reduce the impact of each of these areas and move towards truly sustainable tourism:
How we reduce our CO₂ emissions
1. Food
Here's how we work to reduce our impact when it comes to food:
- Local and seasonal products
We prioritize buying local and seasonal products to reduce the carbon footprint linked to transport and to support the local economy. By avoiding intermediaries, we also limit the CO₂ emissions associated with logistics and distribution.
- Reduced plastic packaging
We strive to limit the use of plastics, especially for picnics and outdoor activities. Our picnics are provided in reusable containers, and we strongly encourage the use of refillable water bottles to further cut down on plastic waste.
- Sustainable and recycled products
Whenever possible, we choose sustainable products made from recycled materials, reducing the need for energy-intensive new production and helping to minimize waste.
2.Accomodation
Here's how we work to reduce our impact through accommodation:
- Wood heating
Our accommodations are mainly heated with wood-burning stoves or pellet systems - renewable and locally sourced resources that help minimize our dependence on fossil fuels. Whenever possible, particularly in France, we aim to limit the use of electric heating.
- Careful selection of accommodations
We prioritize accommodations that are environmentally friendly and sensitive to ecological concerns.
- Sustainable energy
Wherever possible, we rely on renewable energy sources such as solar and wind power to supply our facilities, further reducing our overall carbon footprint.

3. Transfers
- Shared luggage transport
We have set up a shared luggage transport system. This means we do not transport luggage for a single person- transfers are only organized for the whole group. This approach significantly reduces CO₂ emissions by cutting down on the number of trips required and ensuring that only one vehicle is used, which also lowers fuel consumption.
- Electric vehicles
We use electric cars for luggage transport as well as passenger transfers, helping to further reduce our environmental impact in terms of CO₂ emissions

Hiking holidays = low-impact travel
You, too, help reduce CO₂ emissions!
A significant portion of our trips takes place on foot or by bicycle, which are inherently low-impact. By offering itineraries focused on these modes of travel, we minimize the carbon footprint of our activities while providing you with an immersive, nature-friendly experience.
Wanderly Trips is committed to being a responsible player in environmental protection.
By adopting eco-friendly practices and raising awareness among our participants, we aim to contribute to a greener, more sustainable future. We count on your support and collaboration to help achieve these ambitious goals for sustainable tourism.
