Requirements for travel visas vary widely depending on your nationality and your destination.
USA & Canada: No visa needed for tourism or business stays up to 90 days. A valid passport is required. Starting mid-2025, an ETIAS (Electronic Travel Authorization) will also be required.
UK: Same as the USA and Canada — no visa for stays up to 90 days, passport required, ETIAS from mid-2025.
Other European countries (EU/EEA/Switzerland): No visa required; a valid national ID card is enough for travel within the Schengen Area.
Booking related
We're here for you everyday of the week, except Sundays.
You can email or call us anytime - and we'll reply during our office hours (9 am to 6 pm, Central European Time).
Because of the time difference, it may take up to 24 hours for you to receive a response, but you can be sure you'll always hear back from us within that timeframe.
A 30% deposit is requested at booking confirmation. The balance is due 1 month before departure.
If you book less than one month before departure, you will be asked to pay the full amount in one go.
Yes you can pay in full right away.
There are 2 ways to hold an option : online or by phone.
Online, you click on" Hold an option". Payment is not required. After holding an option, you will be provided with a booking reference number and instructions on how to confirm by e-mail.
The option can be usually held for a week, depending on the departure date of the trip.
The option can expire and your space will be released unless you confirm within the timeframe.
We recommend booking at least 2- 3 months in advance to secure your preferred dates and accommodations, especially in peak seasons.
Yes, you can book the transport package after you have registered and up to 1 week before the departure date. Please note, however, that the number of places is limited according to the remaining places in the minibus.
All documentation is sent electronically by email.
Cancellation and insurance policy
In the event of cancellation of your trip, we offer a refund that includes charges depending on the date you cancel:
- More than 60 days before departure:
15% of total BI
- From 60 to 31 days before departure:
20% of total BI
- From 30 to 21 days before departure:
35% of total BI
- From 20 to 14 days before departure:
50% of total BI
- From 13 to 7 days before departure:
70% of the total BI
- From 6 to 3 days before departure:
90% of the total BI
- Less than 2 days before departure:
100% of the total BI

All of our hiking trips require that you have a travel insurance. Most of the time, you can have with your bank card.
After a trip has begun, it isn't possible to join it.
Yes, it is possible to leave a trip early however you will be responsible of your own arrangements, all the costs associated.
Accommodation related
If you sleep in a B&B/dormitory, you'll need to bring a thin sheet and a towel in your bag as well as your belongings.
Pillows and blankets are provided by the accommodation.
For those who don't want to take baggage transportation, we recommend choosing a microfiber towel. It's very light, takes up little space and dries quickly.
In our hotel formula, you don't need anything, everything is provided.
We carefully choose our partners based on quality and shared values. We personally visit accommodations and work only with trusted establishments.
Yes, in most cases it is possible to book additional accommodation at our starting or ending hotels.
General questions
What's special about a self-guided holiday is that it plunges you into the heart of a genuine experience! It takes place without a guide, on your own, as a couple or even with friends, on the departure dates of your choice. Of course, we don't let you leave with nothing. 1 month before departure, you'll receive a complete hiking itinerary.

We provide detailed directions and transportation options for reaching the starting point. Some trips include transfers from nearby airports or train stations.
We provide detailed pre-trip information on expected weather and altitude conditions, plus packing lists and tips to help you prepare comfortably and safely.

To go on a self-guided holiday, you must be at least 18 years old. There are no upper age limits for most of our tours. Children above 15 years old can participate if they have already been on hiking tours.
At Wanderly Trips, we reward your loyalty ! If you have been on three holidays with us, you will receive a 5% discount on your fourth holiday.
Terms and conditions of the offer:
Loyalty discount is only applied from the fourth holiday onwards.
